FAQs
Culture Waves Global is a company that specializes in international Christian missions. Below are some of the most common questions asked:
Q. How long have you been in business?
A. Culture Waves Global was began in 2013. However, our president and other associates have many years of experience in planning, organizing and leading international mission trips.
Q. Why are the trips so expensive?
A. "Expensive" is a relative term. There are many missions agencies that offer less and charge considerably more. Keep in mind that hard cost like airfare, hotels, ground travel, and insurance make up the vast majority of the expense. We have relatively little control over these costs. We prefer to use the word "value." We work hard to ensure that you get the very best value for your investment in an international mission trip. Our trips are "all inclusive." You will never be asked for additional money for fees, gratuities, most food, etc. Our fees cover it all!
Q. How can I donate to this ministry?
A. Giving to Culture Waves Global is simple. Simply click the button below and follow the link provided.

Q. Will we be safe?
A. The world is a very active, ever changing place. Terrorism, disputes, religious factions, and governments can and do from time to time make things difficult for missions agencies--especially in heavily restricted nations. Culture Waves Global has long standing relationships with people living in the countries in which we opperate. Great attentention to detail goes into planning each trip so that surprises and misunderstandings are minimized. Additionally, Culture Waves Global provide international health and evacuation (certain restrictions and conditions apply) insurance for every participant on every trip. This is, of course, included in the cost of the trip.
Q. Are there any age requirements?
A. We have had partiipants as young as 13 (accompanied by a parent), and several participants in the late seventies and early eighties. Anyone can participate in our trip as long as your mobility isn't a significant problem in America.
Q. Do I have to use chopsticks?
A. No, but you will be made fun of.
Q. Will I get to see some really cool cultural sites while I am in the host country.
A. Absolutely! For example: The mission trip to China INCLUDES a guided tours of Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven, and The Great Wall.
Q. Will we always be together as a group?
A. As much as you would like to be. During our time in Beijing, the group is given some free time in order to go shopping, get a massage, karaoke, etc. This is free time in that there is no group schedule. That said, people are asked to not go out alone, but always stick with a buddy. During our time in India, we are nearly always together. That doesn't mean that we cannot spread out and see the villages. We can and do encourage that.
Q. Do I have to have a passport to participate in a mission trip?
A. Yes and No. You can participate in a variety of ways (prayer, donating, recruiting, etc.); however, to GO on a trip, you must have a passport and appropriate travel visa from the host country.
